Blue Ain’t Your Color Lyrics
[Verse 1]
I can see you over there, staring at your drink
Watchin’ that ice sink alone tonight
And chances are you’re sittin’ here in this bar
‘Cause he ain’t gonna treat you right
Well, it’s probably not my place, but I’m gonna say it anyway
‘Cause you look like
You haven’t felt the fire, had a little fun
Hadn’t had a smile in a little while, baby

[Chorus]
Blue looks good on the sky
Looks good on that neon buzzin’ on the wall
But darling, it don’t match your eyes
I’m tellin’ you
You don’t need that guy
It’s so black and white
He’s stealin’ your thunder
Baby, blue ain’t your color

[Verse 2]
I’m not tryna to be another just
Pick you up kinda guy
Tryna drink you up
Tryna take you home
But I just don’t understand
How another man can take your sun
And turn it ice cold
Well, I’ve had enough to drink
And it’s making me think that I just might
Tell you if I were a painter I wouldn’t change ya
I’d just paint you bright, baby

[Chorus]
Cause blue looks good on the sky
Looks good on that neon buzzin’ on the wall
But darling, it don’t match your eyes
I’m tellin’ you
You don’t need that guy
It’s so black and white
He’s stealin’ your thunder
Baby, blue ain’t your color

[Bridge]
No, no, no
Mmmm, it ain’t your color baby
Mmm, baby

[Chorus]
Blue looks good on the sky
Looks good on that neon buzzin’ on the wall
But darling, it don’t match your eyes
I’m tellin’ you
You don’t need that guy
It’s so black and white
He’s stealin’ your thunder
Baby, blue ain’t your color
Baby, blue ain’t your color

[Outro]
Mmm, no, no, no baby
Come here baby
Let me light up your world

LYRICS:

Die A Happy Man

Baby last night was hands down
One of the best nights
That I’ve had no doubt
Between the bottle of wine
And the look in your eyes and the Marvin Gaye
Then we danced in the dark under September stars in the pourin’ rain

And I know that I can’t ever tell you enough
That all I need in this life is your crazy love
If I never get to see the Northern lights
Or if I never get to see the Eiffel Tower at night
Oh if all I got is your hand in my hand
Baby I could die a happy man yeah

Baby and that red dress brings me to my knees
Oh but that black dress makes it hard to breathe
Your saint sure got us the cutest, the hottest masterpiece
It’s too good to be true, nothing better than you
In my wildest dreams

And I know that I can’t ever tell you enough
That all I need in this life is your crazy love
If I never get to see the Northern lights
Or if I never get to see the Eiffel Tower at night
Oh if all I got is your hand in my hand
Baby I could die a happy man yeah

I don’t need no vacation, no fancy destination
Baby you’re my great escape
We could stay at home, listen to the radio
Or dance around the fireplace

And if I never get to build my mansion in Georgia
Or drive a sports car up the coast of California
Well if all I got is your hand in my hand
Baby I could die a happy man

Baby I could die a happy man
Baby I could die a happy man
Don’t you know baby

Moving On and Getting Over John Mayer( Song Structure)

“AABA Song Form / American Popular Song Form / Ballad Form

This is one of the most commonly used forms in both jazz and early to mid-twentieth cetury popular music. The AABA format was song form of choice for Tin Pan Alley songwriters of American popular music, an East Coast USA songwriter scene based in New York City, in the first half of the 20th century. Tin Pan Alley included songwriting greats like Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, Sammy Cahn, Hoagy Carmichael, Dorothy Fields, Johnny Mercer, George and Ira Gershwin.

The dominance of the AABA format faded out during the 1960s with the rise in popularity of rock ‘n’ roll and the rise of groups like The Beatles. Before The Beatles broke off into other songwriting formats, they heavily utilized the AABA format in many songs.

This song form is used in a number of music genres including pop, jazz and gospel.

Structure Of AABA Song Form

In modern terminology the A section is repeated as the main section of the song and is known as “the verse”.

The A sections are similar in melody but different in lyrical content. The phrases of the A sections often comes to harmonic closure.

This is followed by the bridge (B) which is musically and lyrically different than the A sections. The bridge gives the song contrast before transitioning to the final A section. The B section often provides melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, or contrast in texture. The B section is known as “the Bridge”, “Middle Eight” or “the Release”. It presents the listener with a change in mood in the song, often using contrasting melody, lyrics and chords.

Derived versions of this form (AABABA or AABAA for example) or AABA with the addition of a coda (or “outro”) are not uncommon. Where necessary readers should confirm the meaning of terms in our music glossary.

The standard AABA song form is 32-bars long, with each section of the song being 8 bars long.

Examples of AABA song form:
1.”Harlem On My Mind” (1933, by Irving Berlin)

Moving On and Getting Over
John Mayer
Produced By John Mayer, Martin Pradler & Chad Franscoviak
Album The Search for Everything – Wave One

[Verse 1]
Moving on and getting over
Are not the same, it seems to me
Cause you’ve been gone, I’m growing older
But I still can’t seem to get you off my mind
And I do believe I feel you all the time

[Verse 2]
Moving on and getting over
Are not the friends they used to be
It’s been so long since I got to hold you
But I still can’t seem to get you off my mind
And I do believe I feel you all the time, all the time

[Bridge]
Tell me I can have the fact you’ve loved me to hold onto
Tell me I can keep the door cracked open, to let light through
For all my running, I can understand
I’m one text away from being back again
But I’m moving on and I’m getting over
I’m-a getting over, I’m getting over
I got to get over

[Verse 3]
Moving on and getting over
It’s been so long; it just goes to show you
That I still can’t seem to get you off my mind (get you off my mind)
And I sure would like to see you one more time
[Outro]
It’s taken me so long just to say “so long”
Maybe it’s all wrong, but I’m moving on
I’m gonna get a new girl
It’s something I can do, girl
To try to get me through, girl
Cause I’m moving on
I’m moving on
And I’m moving on
I’m moving on
And I’m moving on
Consider me as good as gone
Cause I’m moving on
I’m moving on
Moving on, baby
Moving on
Moving on

Song tip blog : Continued review : Your Invisible Power : Chapter 3

Chapter 3:Relationship between mental and physical form
1.We all have more power and greater possibilities than we realize . The ability to visualize is one of these greatest powers.

Key: We each have abilities that are unknown or untapped .
It is with the dreaming( visualization) that these dreams( talents) become realized as possibilities.
It is with the belief in gaining the knowledge of the dream that it becomes more concrete( reality or existing)
Only in working out your mental picture , it has transferred creative energy from the Universe to the particular (your vision) and is working in the creativity that exist in your mind to make it concrete in the world which you live.

You hear a line on a TV show, or conversation between people, it forms an image in your mind, that you desire to write about. It becomes with guidance of your thoughts from what you know about lyrics into an idea which you transpose into a lyric. Try it .

If you missed Chapter 1 -2 you can start chapter 1

DIY Editorial Your Invisible Power Chapter 2

Chapter 2 : Attract Things You Desire :

Please let me know what you think ,sign the guest book

Take home messages  that I got out of  chapter 2:

2. 1Visualization must be done with sufficient will. If insufficient will, then like a light not strong in a projector the image will not appear, and the desire likewise will not become physical.

2. 1 If  your will is sufficient developed to hold your picture in thought and feeling, without any “ifs” , simply realizing that your thought is the great attracting power, your mental picture will appears certain as when a projector received the right amount of light to project the picture o on a wall.

2.3 The universal law of harmony states The Principle of Harmony and  Balance, which states, ‘Harmony is the flow of life. Everything strives for harmony, for balance. The stronger determines the weaker and makes it equal to itself.’

2.4The nature of Originating Substance is to solidify under directivity rather than activity. It is the nature to complete work . Nothing can prevent your picture from coming into concrete form except you.

Example an idea for a lyric .  You think about writing a lyric and think about the things you will need . They become concrete and appear. You gather the things you need in your mind , a place to write, paper, and pencil.  You visualize your lyrics and believe in it fully, the lyric, shows up out of thin air  on to the paper and  everyone calls it inspiration .

Key: Visualization must fully heart, mind, body and will be felt or it will not appear. The universal law is for balance. You will get what you believe in balance and harmony and not more otherwise off balance.  Like Peter Pan you must believe. “The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.” ― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

If missed Chapter 1

DIY Editorial YOUR INVISBLE POWER Chapter 1

I have started to  editorialize by summarize self-help books because a more aware mind, heart, and will is someone more in touch with their subconscious self. This allows for the ” inspiration” and achievement of goals to occur.

I want to help you on your path. If you are a lyric writer, I want to encourage and support writing lyrics in specific. However, I am supportive no matter your gift to be discovered and to be given to the world, as the world can then only become a better place for having you fully living your life.

This is the first chapter and a new blog will appear each chapter. I have also devoted individual pages for easy access for when the blog starts to be replaced. Enjoy ! Please give comments by signing the guest book .

Chapter 1 : Visualize:

1. Visualization is the great secret of success.

2. Everyone visualizes whether you realize it or not . If you realize, the visualization it then is conscious. If you do not realize it, it is then on the subconscious level.

3.. The concept that you are what you believe . If you surround yourself with positive message and images positive things will occur and likewise the negative will be attracted if fill your mind with negative thoughts.

4. The possibilities exists, you must discover them .

Example given airplanes. The possibility to fly existed prior to airplanes, it just needed to be discovered. The fact no one was flying in airplane before it was invented does not change that it always was the possibility. The possibility needed to be discovered .

5. The working out of an idea to its logical conclusion in spite of accumulated contrary evidence of all past experiences. This means that there are still secrets to be discovered. there is a cure for AIDS, the fact it does not exist now, does not determine it will not exist sometime in the future.

6. In visualization or making a mental picture , you are not trying to change the Law of Nature . You are fulfilling them . (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_law) .

7.. Once aware that, your visualization will bring material accomplishment; your confidence will build in the ability of attraction .

Key: You can attract to you that of your desires by picturing them occurring. You need to make a conscious effort to make your desires known to your subconscious mind . the fact that it seems impossible does not mean it can’t happen. It just hasn’t happen because the exploration to create it must be discovered. The possibility always exist even if it has not happened.
